Resource Economics Minors

The Applied & Resource Economics major offers three minors: 

  • Agribusiness Management: The minor provides an overview of marketing, management, and financial principles and concepts in agribusiness. Analytical and applied decision-making skills are emphasized.

  • Environmental Economics and Policy: The minor provides interested students with an overview of key concepts and methods used by economists to analyze problems associated with human use and misuse of natural resources and the environment, and to evaluate policy options for better management of these resources for current and future generations.

  • Equine Business Management: The minor provides interested students with an overview of marketing, management, and financial principles and concepts in equine management. Analytical and applied decision-making skills are emphasized.

Please note that the Agribusiness Minor is not open to ARE majors who are concentrating in Marketing and Business Management. Similarly, the Environmental Economics and Policy minor is not open to ARE majors concentrating in Environmental Economics and Policy.
