- The construction of new urban-rural place typology based on economic connectedness; calculation of measures of economic activity and economic dynamism for place categories; identification of geographic areas with strong associations to the food-and-agriculture supply chain; econometric evaluation relating economic connectedness to patterns of establishment dynamics, local economic vitality, firm productivity, demographic change, and the evolution of the food-and agriculture supply chain.
